How family problems can lead to depression

Depression is basically one of the biggest emotional problems that a lot of people experience.  There are many reasons and causes of depression.  Some of those reasons are a chemical imbalance in your body.  While others are caused by other issues.One of those very common issues that we are going to look at is family issues.

Family issues are a very traumatic problem when they occur. This is mostly due to the fact that family is such an intimate part of our lives.  So when a problem within the family occurs it makes sense that it can cause problems like depression. This is one of the biggest reasons clients come see my in my depression counseling service.  Because it is very important to address any family problems as soon as possible.

Depending on what the family problem is will determine the course of action that is needed to fix the depression.For example, counseling is a great and perfect way to try and resolve the depression if it is caused by a marital problem.  When I get families with relationship problems in my family counselor San Diego practice I always try to get them into a regular counseling session. It is within these sessions that we can address the depression aspect of it.

Now if the problem gets worse and the fighting starts to escalate where the marriage is now in trouble, then definitely serious counseling is highly needed.  As a couples therapy San Diego practice what I try to do is try to have sessions with them. These sessions are designed to get to the root of the problem. The goal is to find out what is causing the issues then dealing directly with it.Simply because a lot of times the root of all the issues are not clearly understood.  Well a good counseling session can help resolve this.

So, depression is, as mentioned, a very powerful emotion that can be very harmful as well.And as mentioned, in cases of family problems causing them, then absolutely there are solutions available.

One of the seemingly endless jobs we have to do when we own a home is that of cleaning. It may look like we’ve just cleaned it today, and the next day it is already dirty.  But that is just normal for owning a home. So in this article we are going to take a look at some of the best options we have in keeping your whole house clean.

First of all the first thing you have to remember to keep clean is your upholstery.  You furniture is one part of your home that is used over and over again. Because of this fact that you would want to make absolutely sure that your furniture is maintained regularly. Plus your upholstery will of course start to look old and dirty.  So what I suggest in my upholstery cleaning Carlsbad company is to clean it at least every 6 months.

The next part of your home that needs to be kept clean is your tile.  Your flooring is another part of your home that constantly gets used and dirty. Without a regular cleaning schedule your floors can look ugly real fast. Astral Projection � The Beginners Guide

Astral projection is often thought of as “mystical”, but in fact just about everyone has the ability. In fact, lots of people experience astral projection unaware. So the trick sit is to have control over it and do with it what you want to do.

You probably already know about the astral body and the astral plane, so we’ll jump right into techniques which can assist you in your efforts to learn how to astral project. Different people do better using different methods, so you’ll probably want to try out a few until you hit on one which gets good results for you.

The first technique in learning how to astral project, is one that you can do when you’ve gone to bed for the night. Let’s break it down into five steps.

*First - Relax your entire body completely. The best way to do this is to start with your toes and work your way upwards, tensing and then relaxing each part of your body. You’ll become deeply relaxed as you do this and your body may feel extremely heavy � this is perfectly normal.

*Okay, hopefully you will have achieved a state of deep relaxation, so now you need to control your breathing with slow deep breaths by following a method which has proven to be very popular in meditation. Breathe in deep but slowly and allow yourself to actually feel the air moving into you as it makes its way into your lungs. Now breath out slowly, once again paying attention to the air leaving your body. This is the bit many people find hard due to the extreme relaxation which results. Instead, they simply fall asleep which is of course, the last thing you want to be doing. Focusing on the centre of your forehead will in most cases, help you to remain conscious.

*Third � Focus on the relaxed, heavy way your physical body feels. It probably feels like a heavy lump of clay or a slab of stone. Now turn your focus to the way that your astral body feels weightless and able to float free of your physical body. Imagine your astral body drifting upwards from the bed.

*A large percentage of people attempting to astral project claim that in this stage, they see the whole room they�re lying in, in spite of the fact that their eyes are closed. Additionally, in most cases it seems, people claim that there appears to be purple light, or at least, a purple glow filling the room. If you�ve reached this point then the next thing you need to focus on the light fitting in the centre of the ceiling.

*Envision yourself pulling the drawing imagine that you are pulling the ceiling light into you. As you’re doing this you might well get the sensation that you’re floating. If you feel this, you can likely look “down” at your own physical body lying still on the bed.

At this point you are now astral projecting and your astral body is free to begin traveling the astral plane. If you aren’t able to successfully astral project using this technique, you can try the following method.

You can do this one, known as the Gazing Method, when you’re hitting the hay for night as well. You’ll need an object to focus on: the moon through your window or skylight, a lava lamp, even just a nightlight; whatever can hold your attention.

Of course, you must make sure you can gaze at the object as you lie in bed. Now, essentially you’re going to stare at this object. If you feel your attention wandering, bring it back to the object. You should soon begin to feel your eyelids getting heavy. Just keep staring; eventually your eyes will close but you should still be able to see the object as if your eyes are still open. Don’t turn your head; keep “staring”. You’ll come to a point where you want to sit up or stand up, and if you feel yourself do this don’t be alarmed if you can see your own physical body lying asleep on the bed.

If you aren’t immediately successful with these techniques, don’t give up. There are other ways to astral project, though any technique can take some practice. Be persistent and you will learn how to astral project before too long.

You see, no matter what methodologies you attempt with astral projection or any new spiritual discipline, it’s your own subconscious mind which is the main obstacle. Your subconscious mind must feel like it’s perfectly alright for the astral body to temporarily depart from the physical body. To this end you can do some affirmations for several minutes every day to re-program the subconscious mind. Remember that all affirmations must be stated in the positive and they cannot be lies. (I.E. do not talk as if you have already astral projected; talk as if you have made the decision to astral project and you know it’s perfectly natural to do so).

Plenty of techniques can help you learn how to astral travel; you’ll find the right one for you with a little practice and possibly some trial and error.

One of the shortcuts is hypnosis. A good hypnotist can tell you what you are experiencing as you enter into the right state of mind, so you don’t have to worry about what you “should” be experiencing.

Recent advancements in sound technology have brought to light, a concept known as ‘binaural beats’which are also proving to be very useful in helping people achieve a state of deep relaxation which is essential for successful astral projection.

Learning how to astral project isn’t actually that difficult. It’s really just about practicing. This is an ability which every man and woman already possesses; it just takes a little work and a little patience to learn to do it at will. Just like being able to read, it’s something you’re born with the capacity to do � but you do need to practice to become expert in it.

There are some things which we have to maintain if we own our own home.One thing people tend to not remember is dealing with pests.  This is something that gets overlooked often but it is a reality that has to be taken care of. So what we are going to look at in this article are the most common ways on getting rid of pests from our home.

First and foremost when face with pest problems in your home you have to think and decide if you are going to do it on your own or employ someone.  The main factor you have to determine is how bad the problem is. Lucid Dreams for Beginners

Wouldn�t it be nice to have a lucid dream, to be aware you are dreaming and control what happens? Of course you do, but how does one learn to do this?

You need to know why it is that you want to be a lucid dreamer. Are there benefits to be gained through lucid dreaming? There are, but to understand them we should first start by examining normal sleep.

What is different about lucid dreaming? Normally, you lay down and you’re out for six to eight hours. Maybe you remember your dreams, maybe not. The usual � not all that interesting, really.

The sleep we normally have fulfills the purpose of allowing us to rest up for the next day.However, what would it be like if you were able to control your dreams? Instead of being a spectator to your dreams, what if you could be an active participant?

How would you like to control what you do while in your dream? Control the events that happen in it in any way you like. A lucid dreamer is in complete control of their dreams.They are able to enter the spiritual realm of existence far removed from what exists in the physical waking hours.

All well and good, but how exactly do you become a lucid dreamer? There are two ways of accomplishing this goal. The first method is to have a dream-initiated lucid dream, or DLID. This is where the dreamer becomes aware that they are in fact dreaming and begins to take control over the dream.

Another popular method is to have a wake initiated lucid dream (WILD); this is a straight shot from awake to asleep with no lapse in your consciousness. This is usually achieved by purposefully retaining awareness during the hypnagoogic state, which directly precedes sleep.

So how are these types of lucid dreaming induced?

Dream Recall

You will need to learn how to remember your dreams if you want to be able to have lucid dreams. It is referred to as dream recall, the ability to remember your dreams. If you can remember your dreams you are more likely to realize when you are dreaming because many of the dreams you have will be the same or almost the same.

To make dream recall easier you can keep a dream journal. This is a notebook or pad of paper that has the sole purpose of recording your dreams. Whenever you have a dream, you should write all you can remember in the journal as soon as you wake up. The longer you are awake the more details of the dream that will be lost.

Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD)

Dr Steven LaBerge is a leading scientist who studies lucid dreaming. He was the founder of MILD. This method involves telling yourself you will remember your dreams or perhaps an object in the dream. When you see the object while dreaming it will trigger your mind into knowing you are in a dream.

Wake-Back-to-Bed (WBTB)

The way you do this one is, only plan on sleeping for a few hours like five or six. Set your alarm if you need to so you will wake up. After you have slept the few hours and wake up, stay up. Find something to do to stay awake. Do a little house work; Think about what you might like to do in your lucid dreams. Return to bed in an hour.

Dr, LaBerge says that his method has a 60% rate of success. Why is this? Basically, you wake in the middle of an REM cycle, so when you return to sleep, you will have a better chance of lucid dreaming.

Cycle Adjustment Technique

Developed by Daniel Love, this involves setting your alarm to wake about 90 minutes earlier than usual; once you acclimate to this, set your alarm to wake you up alternately early and at the time you used to get up. At those times when you wake up at the usual time, you’ll be accustomed to waking early. This means that you are more likely to lucid dream during this last hour and a half.

Wake-initiation of Lucid Dreams (WILD)

Let’s get back to this method which is described above. To achieve lucid dreaming, the technique is to try to keep mentally aware even as your body relaxes into a sleep state.Think of it this way � you are getting ready to watch a movie; your closed eyelids are like the black screen before the movie begins and you are waiting for the trailers to roll.

First, it was cds and DVD�s now we have devices that will help you lucid dream. Masks and other electronic apparatuses can be used to recognize REM sleep and give you a light buzz or light to make you aware that you are dreaming. If you want to increase, your chances of success use the method that has proven to be the best. Using a set of headphones listen to binaural beats at the right sound frequencies during sleep.

There are also technological innovations which can help to induce lucid dreaming, among them strobe lights and dreaming masks.

With self-hypnosis and a conscious preparedness before you go to sleep anyone can practice lucid dreaming.

Binaural beats induce lucid dreaming by causing the hemispheres of your brain to work synchronously, making your brainwaves shift to the frequency required for lucid dreaming.

With a combination of self affirmations, self hypnosis and binaural sounds, being a lucid dreamer is something anyone can do successfully.

Things you should know to prevent common car problems

When you own a car then absolutely there are a lot of good things and awesome benefits you surely get from owning a car.  But along with all the good and benefits are the car problems that come with it.  The sad part about a lot of these common car problems is that they could have been avoided.  In this article we are going to look at some steps you can take to avoid these problems.

First of all a car owner has to really make extra sure that he or she do not neglect their car.It is very simply and easy to just get in you car and go everyday. But doing that very thing can surely lead to common problems that will pop up when you actually don’t take care of it.And they are absolutely most expensive when you have unexpected car problems. Do You Like to Chew Your Food - Better Keep Your Teeth Then!

The most common cause of tooth loss in adults is gum disease. It starts off mildly, with plaque building up on your teeth. Plaque that is left on your teeth, if not removed, then begins to irritate the gums. Well, actually, it is the harmful secretions of bacteria living under the plaque that do that.

The most insidious part of this process is when the plaque actually begins to get inside the gums, creating what is called pockets. This cannot be reached by a toothbrush and can barely be reached by floss.  In a manner of speaking, regular oral hygiene may not be enough at some point.  However, an oxygenated mouthwash such as Therabreath may be helpful. 

People at risk for developing gum disease include those who are wearing braces, those who smoke, those with diabetes, those who are pregnant and undergoing hormonal changes and those who have relatives who were affected by this condition as well. Watch Out For This Commonly Overlooked Disease

Gum disease is an all-too common condition. But what really is the truth behind this condition and how can one prevent it?

While this disease is associated with tooth loss especially when it comes to senior adults, it is by no means a ‘natural part’ of aging. Good dental care and preventive measures can actually help an individual retain healthy gums and a good set of teeth well into old age.

It is not always true that people who have been afflicted with this condition are sloppy when it comes to their dental hygiene habits. In fact, some say that at least 80% of the population are susceptible to gum disease.

So genetic predisposition is one thing to consider instead of the usual regular brushing and flossing when it comes to gum disease. That is why it is important to get a screening so that preventive measures can be taken early on if you have genetic predisposition to gum diseases.

It is important that you inform your dentist immediately if you feel there are early symptoms of gum disease.
