Although remote viewing is a natural occurrence for everyone, there are no scientific reasons concerning the subject or remote viewing. Much like astral traveling and lucid dreaming, remote viewing is specific types of mind control encounters and is classifiable as paranormal experiences. The concept seems peculiar to some individuals, even though these are natural episodes.

For many years, various countries have made use of remote viewing for their government security and safety reasons. Many of these government programs have been discontinued since that time to be declassified and released to the general public. Their records show that many of their test subjects were simple everyday individuals who had no clue of their inborn capabilities concerning remote viewing.

When do you book your holidays?

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Think about this, it probably isn’t what you would normally expect. However if you do think about it, although it sounds like a strange time it does in fact make a lot of sense. Now i am saying that people go on holiday at the summer time, but they don’t book there holidays in summer time. This isn’t the truth.

We all want to go on holiday in the summer, but we don’t book our holidays then. The one thing that does happen in summer is a spike in bookings at certain times. There are many factors that will effect whether or not you book a last minute holiday, and it usually comes down to the weather in your local area. Although we all like to book in the first two months, as trends suggest, there is also always a spike in interest in summer for a small amount of time.

January, this is the biggest month for holiday sales and bookings, just after Christmas there is a massive demand for holidays. However when we really think about this, it does make more sense. If you need some to arrange things, then an early booking can help you to sort out time off. If you need to make changes to your holiday, the early you booked the easier the changes will be. If you want to book yourself a holiday for summer time, and you want to make sure you get a seat, you book early.

This is the time when Tour Operators make there most, and gives us and them a general outline of how well they are going to do in the year. If they have a poor start in January and February, then the rest of the year is going to be very hard. The only times when they capitalise after a bad start is in the summer, for late holiday deals, or at Christmas time, for the best possible Christmas holidays.

Don’t Be Stupid Get a Pool Filter

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

If you have been lucky enough to own a swimming poool. You will know the importance of having a filtration system within your pool.

All swimming pools need to include a filter as standard this has been proven through research. Because it’s very important to have a working filter in your swimming pool. You should always make sure that it is working, if your filter breaks down without you knowing, your pool could soon become dangerous to use.

The first sign that your filter system has stopped working is that dirt will begin to collect at the bottom of the pool, this is simply because the pool is not being cleaned by the filter system, maybe not dangerous or life threatening, but certainly not pleasant to swim in.

The biggest reason why your filter system should always stay active is to circulate the pool chemicals, such as chlorine. If your filter system stops working, the chlorine, used to kill bacteria, within your pool can stop circulating, this means that chlorine can collect in the pool, making it cloudy to view. However, cloudy water wouldn’t be your only problem, because the amount of chlorine has risen, it becomes very dangerous and potentially deadly.

Because chlorine is designed to kill bacteria, in high concentration, it can be poisonous and damage your skin.

So, as you can see, keeping your pool filter working can prove to be life saving, however, if you have a pool filter or are going to get one, ensure that you have a drain cover on the filter. If you don’t then this too can prove to be a hazard. If a child or an adult gets sucked into the filter, it can injure or even kill the person because of the power of the filter.

Those were just a couple of tips that you should follow to ensure that your swimming pool is clean and safe to use.

Know And Prepare for Emergencies

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

If there were to be an emergency of any kind, are you adequately prepared? It may be a tornado, flood or even a hurricane. It could even be a catastrophic event such as a pandemic illness that sweeps through the world. How prepared are you in case of just such an event? The answer for most people is that they are not prepared at all. Emergency preparation takes forethought and careful planning. It is not about paranoia or that the world is coming to an end soon. You will definitely find crackpot websites that are dedicated to fueling paranoia and government conspiracies but for the most part people do still need to make some emergency preparations just in case. This article is designed to help you understand what you can do to be prepared.

What type of emergencies do people prepare for?

People prepare for all types of emergencies. Back before 2000 people were fearful that the world’s computer networks would fail. That all electronic gadgets that rely on an internal clock would fail. So people stock piled food, blankets, wood and jugs of water just in case. The disaster never happened but other disasters have happened since then. Hurricane Katrina showed the world just how unprepared people were for a large scale disaster. Nothing could have stopped the water from flooding the houses but everyday items became luxuries that many did not have. Tornados, ice storms, flooding and even biological disasters are all things people worry about. Nothing can actually prevent them but there are steps people can take specific for their region that can help lessen the worry.

Are there classes I can take for emergency preparation?

One of the most important emergency preparation classes you can take is a CPR class. CPR is a valuable tool and skill to know. Even rudimentary wound cleansing and protection can save a life during an emergency. You may also want to consider wilderness courses where you are taught to live off the land, so to speak. The classes can teach you how to build a fire without using a lighter, how to prepare and filter water for safe drinking and cooking uses and they can even teach you how to prepare an emergency shelter. Another class you might think about taking is one in self protection. Though it may not seem like a preparation class for an emergency consider that it is a valuable skill to know as many people react differently to emergencies and you may be called on to protect your valuable supplies.

Where can I buy an emergency preparation kit?

You would be amazed at how many places sell emergency preparation kits. One website www.quakekare.com sells kits in all sizes. The kits start out for a four person on upwards to a 100 person survival kit. This is not the only website either. VKRsupplies.com is another website to take a look at if you want to buy a ready-made kit. The one thing to keep in mind when deciding to buy a pre-assembled kit is finding out exactly what the kit contains and what you will still have to add to it. You might find that it is less expensive to simply gather all of the items yourself and save money in the long run.

Are there any books or websites on emergency preparation?

There are countless survival books in bookstores or at your local library that can give you a checklist of things you need to set aside in case of an emergency. You can even go online to www.ready.gov to see the list of what the federal government and FEMA consider to be essentials for any emergency preparation kit. The website is a plethora of information and printable checklists to get you ready for any emergency that may occur. The one thing that all have in common is having a disaster plan ready for all of your family members in case a disaster or emergency happens when you and your family are separated. You absolutely must make sure that your family members know what to do and where to meet so that you are not separated from each other for long.

How to Describe Mind Power

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Just in case you didn’t already know, your mind is like a magnet. What it thinks and sees, it will eventually attract. There is this thing that is called the law of attraction, and it deals very strongly with mind power. The law of attraction is basically the act of believing something is going to happen so strongly that it does. You can have the best life if you want it, but you have to be able to think it, feel it, and envision it first. This may take some practice, but success only comes with persistence in any endeavor. The power of the mind is amazing.

Everyone can use this to their advantage. The problem is most of us lack the ability to believe we can do it. Probably one of the funniest statistics about the mind out there is that humans only use about 10% of their brain power. So somewhere in there is 90% that just kind of hangs out for the next big wave. Actually, the reason behind this is that people hate change. Most of us just enjoy keeping things as simple as possible without exerting our mind power to their highest potential.

The reality of life first happens within the mind. Whatever you have accumulated thus far has been a result of your mind power. It has been said that everyone has psychic and extra sensory skills or ‘powers’, but in reality, it is simply a state of advanced subconscious mind power. If there is something that you want in life, then all you have to do is think it. Those who are always expecting the worst will always end up with the worst.

So instead of going through life like them, why don’t we teach you the right way to use your mind? It all starts with visualization. If you’ve ever seen the movie ‘Happy Gilmore’ with Adam Sandler, his coach in the movie helps him create a happy place to allow him to make the putt. However, there is a time where he tries to think happy thoughts, but the negative ones take over.

Now you can do these two ways. You can either visualize everything in your mind, or you can take advantage of pictures. In the beginning it may be harder to visualize things without constantly thinking about the negative things surrounding it. We always recommend making or cutting a picture and placing them anywhere you go throughout the day. The more times you see, the more times you’ll start breaking into the real power behind your mind.

Another benefit is to write down everything on a piece of paper. You can make it factual; write a story, or anything that will help you reach your goals. If you do write something down, it’s important to make a visualization of everything. Once you learn to do this several times throughout the day, those thoughts will become a reality in the back of your mind.

Another way to increase the amount of mind power that you have is by affirmations. Affirmations are nothing more than positive bits of encouragement that you give yourself throughout the day. It can be a positive amount of encouragement about anything. For example, you can increase your mind power by saying that you will lose those 10 pounds by the end of the month. Keep telling yourself those positive things, and everything will just naturally start to come to you. It doesn’t matter if you are not used to it at first, anything done consecutively for 28 days automatically becomes a habit.

More advanced techniques for harnessing your mind power including using the psycho-audial link, through brainwave entrainment. Your subconscious mind will read certain patterns of audio frequencies, first used by Tibetan monks as part of their meditation rituals, as the key to unlocking better health and healing, improved concentration abilities and greatly expanded memories. This is an advanced technique, and it can work wonders if you let it.

Some of you may even enjoy things like Hypnosis to get that mind power flowing. A great example of this is when people want to quit smoking. They’ve tried Nicorette, prescription drugs, cold turkey, and everything else under the sun to no avail. So when all else fails, the next step is Hypnosis. All you do is go to a session, relax, and listen to someone tell you the same thing over and over again. Eventually they get the person to believe in themselves and convince them they can kick the habit. The mind is simply a wonderful thing if you know how to open it up.

As can be seen, everyone has mind power. It’s a matter of belief in what one can do, with their own abilities and positive affirmations. You can use this ability to change your circumstances and rewrite your future to one you want to see happen. It won’t happen over night, and it takes some repetition to make it all work, but the effort pays off in the end.

How to Deal With Emergencies At Home

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

A home emergency could be restricted to just a single home, or it could be part of a larger emergency that affects the entire neighborhood or city. Regardless, the important thing to do is to prepare for the different types of situations that can occur when we are at home. Some of this involves having some type of home emergency supplies but mostly it is about educating yourself about what could happen in your home and how to effectively deal with it.

A major home emergency is when you have a gas leak. You will know if there is one because even though natural gas is odorless, the smell of rotten eggs has been artificially added to it as a warning. When you smell this odor, it is best to just leave your house and call the gas company from a neighbor’s phone. It is very important that you do not turn on or shut off the lights, or turn on or off any appliances. This small surge of electricity could actually ignite the gas and cause an explosion.

In addition to the gas leak, a power failure is another common emergency that most of us have experienced at home, at one time or another. The first thing to do if the power goes out in your home is to reset the circuit breakers. If that doesn’t work and the homes around you are also dark, then it is probably a power failure. The power company should be contacted, but while you wait you can turn off all the lights in your home and all your major appliances. When the power comes on you don’t want to have any of your stuff damaged by a possible power surge.

Finally, as safe as we try to make our homes, an emergency in the form of an injury is also a common occurrence. People can fall down stairs, cut themselves with a knife or another sharp object, or choke on food while eating. The best steps to take are to minimize chances of these accidents occurring, but you can also be prepared to deal with any problems. Having first aid medical supplies on hand, emergency phone numbers nearby, and educating yourself on basic first aid practices can mean the difference between an unfortunate accident and a devastating incident.

Don’t be a victim of a home emergency. Walk through the different rooms in your house and try to anticipate any possible dangers that could occur there. Decide how you would deal with those situations and make sure that there are first aid medical kits available in your home. It is also important that you educate your family on what to do as well. You may feel comfortable about dealing with emergency situations, but if you are not at home when something happens, then you need to make sure your family knows what to do as well.

Emergency Kits And Other Supplies To Keep

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

How many people have some type of emergency supplies in their home? A better question might be, how many people have some type of supplies in their home that have been kept up to date? This is the main problem with putting together survival packs. People tend to rush into purchasing products based on advertising and then don’t have the interest or the energy to follow through by making sure that food and water is replenished and other home emergency supplies still work. It could be years before you actually have any need for the items you have purchased.

The first problem that usually occurs with stored disaster supplies is the effect of time. People will often forget about keeping their supplies up to date, and over time this can have a negative impact. Food will expire and will no longer be safe for consumption, and water also needs to be replaced with a fresh supply. Batteries can start to leak, and medical supplies run the risk of being exposed to the elements and becoming unsanitary. It is important that food is replaced after a year and water after six months, and other supplies are checked to make sure they are working properly.

After a man-made or natural disaster has struck a location, the media coverage of the suffering becomes so intense that salespeople and entrepreneurs come out of the woodwork with a variety of emergency supplies for sale. Unfortunately, sometimes these supplies are designed with speed and profit in mind, and they do not live up to the expected standards when they are truly needed. They can also be overpriced to take advantage of people’s fear, and when the worry has passed, people feel cheated and have less interest in planning ahead to deal with a dire situation.

Really, the problem of getting and maintaining emergency supplies has to do with the passage of time. At the time of a disaster somewhere in the world, obtaining your own supplies seems like the most important thing to so. Yet once some time has passed and the last catastrophe has faded from memory, regret may set in because of the money spent on supplies that perhaps will never be needed. Then stored food and water are not replenished as they should be to ensure no contamination has occurred, batteries are not checked and the emergency cash fund has dried up. Then wham, Mother Nature comes calling again and now you are at the mercy of others for help.

Discounts on Airline Travel

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

With the global economy facing downturns and every industry in the world facing financial crisis, the airline industry has thought ahead of time to on how to face the financial down turn. As a precaution of keep away from brankruptsy, airlines have started offering lower airfare rates.  Before flying, it wouldn’t hurt to get a psychic readings.

When you want to make a trip abroad, unless you have no finacial crisis bothering you, you will most certainly eye the airfare rates very closely. Every one of us struggle to get the best deal in town when it comes to airfare rates because if we can save up on the money we spend for the air ticket, we will drastically bring down the expenses of the trip.  As we mentioned, before flying, it wouldn’t hurt to get a psychic readings.

With the world-wide economy fighting its battle against rising prices of oil, the air travel industry faced many challenges. The airfare rates reached a peak and as a result, many leisure travelers dispersed to find cheaper alternatives. This situation even brought certain air travel companies to the gates of bankruptcy. Luckily, the oil prices in the global market dropped making it possible for airlines to offer reasonable prices on airfare rates, once again.  As said, it wouldn’t hurt to get a psychic readings.

Unfortunately, there are still many travel agents out there who try to take advantage of the previous situation by offering expensive deals. These types of fraudulent agencies are exactly what you should bear in mind to avoid, when you plan your trip abroad. We suggest that you get on the internet and compare prices before paying up for any tour. although this methodology may consume some of your valuable time, you will at least walk away with a happy feeling of knowing that you have not been cheated on. If not, approach a trustworthy travel agent and lay down your requirements. i.e. whether you want to settle for a package which includes tours, accommodation and the airfare or whether you are looking at airfare rates alone. Whatever your choice is, it is recommended that you compare every option to see which ones put you at advantage.

The rule of the thumb when arranging a vacation abroad is to compare all possible options and get to know all possible routines and the associated airfare rates, before making a decision. Rushing through and settling for the first option in a brochure or in a website will surely lead to disaster, either financially or in form of a chaotic trip.

Chickens for your garden. Information about garden poultry

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Chickens are kept all over the world and have been for many thousands of years. A home is complete with some chickens roaming about in the back garden. Here in the UK we have somewhat forgotten the joys and benefits of keeping poultry at home, relying instead on the supermarket or corner shop for our chicken and eggs but things are starting to change!

Frugality is becoming more important during the economic climate especially in the UK. more people are becoming more reliant on there own produces opting not to go to supermarket only for certain things like cleaning shopping. There has been a sharp rise in the amount of people who have started growing vegetables in their back garden and in many places waiting lists for allotments can be years long.

Many people have also been rediscovering the benefits and pleasures of keeping garden poultry either on the allotments or in their gardens. people whoc start off with chickens start with a couple and given the right breed can provide eggs for a whole family for life. Other choose to breed chickens to produce food for the table!

keeping organic vegetables and garden poultrycan bring a hole new mewaning of living naturally and for the earth you thank.

Once hooked on keeping chickens many people have gone on to add ducks and geese to theirgarden poultry collection unlike chickens these birds will not lay eggs all year round but are easy to breed and a pleasure to keep and make a fantastic treat for the dinner table.

You do not need acres of space to keep any of these birds but they all do have their own requirements, Chickens just need a good patch of grass to scratch around in, ducks must have a pond in which to swim and keep themselves clean and geese being grazers need a larger patch off grass and a small pool of water to keep their feathers in good health. The fox is the main problem for ducks and chickes so make sure they are housesd in safe place, locked away at night.

Play a Diddley Bow Like Seasick Steve

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Diddly Bo - Seasick Steve (LWJH S35E05)

Music should always be fun. Really, anybody who wants to make music should be capable of doing so. Unfortunately we are taught that, in order to make music, you need to study music tablature, learn scales and chords, spend money on expensive musical instruments and practice loads. But this is far from the truth.

Have you ever see any African tribes people dancing to drums? These drummers will never have studied drumming at college. They can’t read music and wouldn’t know a paradiddle if it bit them. But they’re having a good time. Using simple instruments to make music, maybe a home made drum or rattle, is really great fun and what music should be all about.

There is a one stringed Brazilian instrument with African roots called a Berimbau. Not surprisingly it looks a bit like a bow that could be used for hunting. Now this simple instrument is the precursor to pretty much all forms of stringed instrument including guitars, harps and even pianos.

You make have heard of an instrument called a Diddley Bow. This is an African American folk instrument that uses only one string or wire. These might typically be made by stretching a piece of wire along a length of wood. The string is made taught with a bridge of some kind, maybe a can, and then fretted with a slide, often a knife, piece of bone or bottleneck.

Lonnie Pitchford, a well known exponent of the Diddley Bow would make his one stringed instruments by attaching a wire to the vertical support of his front porch. Making simple diddley bows by attaching a wire to the side of a house or shack was a common way that poor share croppers and field workers would make instruments in the Mississippi Delta region.

The sound of the Diddley Bow is very much the sound of the blues. Many of the early blues orginators from the 1920s and 1930s got their start by twanging Diddley Bows. One modern day Diddley bow players who you may have heard of is Seasick Steve. So why not make yourself a simple one string Diddley Bow today and make some music.
