There are some people who love their cars.They take very good care of their cars just like how they take care of their babies.  Then there are other people who don’t even give it a second thought.They just use it like a regular means of transportation for getting them to places.That is a very costly mistake to do for that second type of car owners. Silver Jewels On The Go: Miao People Immigrate To The US

Many people know the Miao for their silver jewels, but about 200 years ago, thousands of Miao people migrated from China into the mountainous areas of Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. Many slowly made their way to America.

During the Vietnam War, the Miao who resided in Laos fought against the Pathet Lao for America. General Bao Vang was their leader. In 1975, the Pathet Lao took control, and the Miao had to leave their homeland to avoid being slaughtered and persecuted. Many landed in refugee camps ouside of Vietnam.

Thanks to the UN, these people were able to go the many different countries. Most people tried to go to America. In just 1980, it is documented that over 27,000 Miao refugees immigrated into the US.

The Miao were spread out into almost 50 different cities across the US. Families were torn apart as many people had to go to a new place to live. But starting in 1982, more and more Miao people moved to cities where they had friends and relatives. There are many states where Miao people can be found, but CA, WI, and MN are said to have the most.

When the Miao first arrived in the US, they had many problems replanting their tradition and culture into this western land. In their hometowns, it was ok for a man to have many wives, but after they got the the US they had to choose only one.

In Laos, the Miao had a tradition of “kidnapping” a woman then informing the woman’s family to ask for agreement of marriage. Some Miao men tried to do the same thing in the US, which landed them in trouble with the cops.

Thirty years past. Now Miao people have found a way to keep their customs while living peacefully in America. There are about 200,000 Miao residents in America. They are called Hmong.

In St. Paul-Minneapolis you can find some great Miao silver jewels because this city holds one of the largest Miao communities.

During the Miao New Year and other holidays, the Miao dress up with their colorful ethnic costumes and handamde silver jewels to get together with friends and family members. The Miao Yew Years festival is usually in early-to-mid fall. Sometimes it's held on the Fourth of July.

The Miao work hard to protect their ethnic culture. Now, they have their own publications that can introduce their customs and silver jewels to everyone. You can hear the Miao language on a number of local radio stations too.

Many people like to send their children to special schools to learn Miao culture and history so they can grow and learn, no matter where they are. Some Miao people in the US even make elaborate sterling silver jewels like those found in China.

The difficulty of couples counseling

One of the unfortunate things that happen in marriages are fights.  I don’t think there has ever been a couple that has never had a fight.The unfortunate thing is when the fights grow bigger than what it should just be.  Because it is natural that people will have differences.But is unfortunate when their differences separate.

Dealing with couples as a San Diego marriage therapist has allowed me to see how difficult it is for some people to seek counseling.There are couples who do not want others to know about their problems.Or there are some people out there who have too much pride to be asking for help.And also, there are couples who do not believe that their situation can still be fixed.But that would be sad.Because with a good counseling most of the couple’s issues can be resolved. 

It doesn’t just have to deal with married couples as well. Those in pre-marital relationships have problems and fights sometimes as well.But couples can let it go too far just like married coules.  I know because doing couples therapy San Diego has allowed me to see both ways.Those relationships that have sought help experienced a success in their relationship. While those that did not seek help saw their relationship gone kaput. Of course therapy isn’t the end all but it can help.

What is the reason why couples counseling is effective?  Because you get an experienced professional help you.  This professional has had a lot of experience with all kinds of situations.  Experience is priceless for situations such as this.With some very good advise some issues can be fixed.  It can point out where the difficulties are.Then it can provide a plan of action so that a couple can fix their relationship.  Time and time again doing San Diego marriage counseling has proven this to be true.  If it doesn’t work out the relationship would have ended any way.  But if it does work, it can save a wonderful relationship.

The wedding day is one of the most special days for anybody. Most women have been dreaming of this day since they were still children.For the men’s part it would be the day when they will finally be able to live forever with the women off their dreams.Since it is a very special day there are also a lot of jobs involved that makes it a special one.One of those heavy tasks is given to the wedding photographer.Since it is an important part of your wedding you should choose a good one.So how can you do that?

Well as a San Diego photographer I have seen the ways couples have gone about trying to choose ones.From my experience as a wedding photographer I’m going to show you some points to ponder when you are still undecided who to hire.

Your budget should be the first thing you should determine when looking for a photographer.It would not do you any good if you find someone you like but is very expensive for you to afford. Once you have decided how much your budget would be then that is the time you can pare down the choices that you have.  Of course since it is such a special day my opinion as a San Diego wedding photographer is to now worry about price.Since a photographer is given the hard task of capturing the magical moments of an equally magical day of a couple then the price should not be a factor. But if it is then you have to know what you can spend.Once you know the limit of your budget then it would be easier for you to look for a good photographer that you like.

Finally once you know your budget go on a round of interviews. It would be just like any kind of job.Would you just hire someone to be your employee if, for example, you own a business?Of course your answer would be no and definitely you should also not do this when looking for a photographer.You would want to know if you are compatible personality wise.You would want to look at his/her work.  And from my experience as an San Diego photographer, you want to see how much experience they have dealing with weddings. You would definitely find the right photographer for your wedding day if you conduct a lot of interviews.

Regular maintenance for your car’s transmission

Cars right now are better made than the cars before.Even those cars that were considered cheap and not a good car last longer now.  But even though cars are now made well, problems still happen.  One of the biggest problems a car can have is a transmission problem.It can also be one of the most expensive and not just one of the biggest problems. 

So here are some things to look for that I have learned running my Vista transmission repair company.  First of all you want to keep good transmission fluid levels.If you do forget or intentionally do not do this then your transmission would be burnt up in no time.So make sure to have your dipstick always so you can check the fluid levels regularly.  Make sure it is a good level. 

Second thing you have to check is if it is already dirty.  A dirty transmission fluid could be signs of a problem.If the color of the fluids that you see is already black or somewhat dirty then you should have your car checked immediately.  I get cars in all the time at my La Costa transmission repair shop that have this problem. But since they brought it in for checkups earlier they were able to avoid more costly repairs.

But if you go ahead and do the maintenance yourself then you should be careful.In changing the fluids of your car be sure that you bought the correct type of fluid for your transmission.It can be surprising but people make mistakes and they sometimes put in a wrong type of fluid.If someone accidentally does this mistake then the transmission of his/her car would burn up in no time.So be sure to check that you are putting in the right kind when changing your fluid.  I tell all my clients of my Vista auto repair shop when in doubt just have professionals do it for you.  For such an expensive to replace part of your car it makes sense.

So if you follow these few pointers you may be able to maintain your transmission.Doing the steps mentioned above will take you only a few a minutes but can save you a lot of money.
